Sun and Moon Guesthouse, Darchen, West Tibet

Since 2007 a guesthouse is attached to the Tibetan Medical and Astro Institute Mt. Kailash: the Sun and Moon Guest House .

26 beds (one 2-bed room, six 3-bed rooms and a 6-bed rooms) are available, ideal for western tour groups. Price per bed and night: 60 yuan (USD 9).
In addition there is a modernly furnished kitchen in which tasty, local dishes are prepared. Internet access is also available.

The Guest House is situated beautifully on a slope on the northwest edge of the village. Guests from all over the world appreciate the peace, friendliness and cleanliness of the place, ideal to prepare at leisure for the Kora of Mount Kailash.
